He also spent three weeks with our good friends the Ross’ and Pastor Johnson in Gonzales, Louisiana on the weekends and at Gospel Singers of America in Mississippi during the week where he studied singing and piano. Caleb had spent the previous 10 weeks in Indiana finishing his sophomore year working with Grandpa, Grandma, and Uncle Jim and enjoying time with his cousins. On Monday, July 14, Jane went to Waterloo and picked up Caleb as he was transported to Iowa by a church work crew that had helped in Pierceton, Indiana at Bethel Baptist Church where Jane’s brother Jim is the pastor and her parents John and Jean Baughman serve. We left camp with a warm heart rejoicing in what God has done. At the campfire we rejoiced in those who shared openly their faith in Christ and their desire to serve the Lord. During the two weeks we saw 9 Salvations, 6 for assurance, 9 Dedications, 4 responded specifically for missions and 12 were seeking a closer walk with God. For the evening service the messages were presented through ventriloquism and object lessons. I covered things like Inspiration, Deity of Christ, Creation, and Why the Just Suffer. Each morning I presented my seminars on apologetics - what every camper needs to know. We were there for both Junior I and Junior II weeks of camp from July 6 -18, 2014. It was good to see him and his wife again and serve the Lord with them at camp. I attended Bible College with the director Jan Kolar. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents.Raccoon River Bible Camp is located in Iowa just a few miles east of Carroll. Wilma is survived by her husband Romayne Bundt of Glidden two sons: Terry Bundt and his wife Stephanie of Leon, Iowa and Allen Bundt and his wife Peggy of Churdan, Iowa three daughters: Donna Yelverton of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Betty Oldham and her husband Andy of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and Renee Bailey and her husband Andy of South Sioux City, Nebraska eleven grandchildren two brothers: Leland Lantz and his wife Irene of Onawa, Iowa and Donald Lantz and his wife Mary of Woodbine, Iowa three brothers-in-law: Duane Bundt and his wife Joan of Glidden, Vernon Bundt and his wife Juanita of Glidden, and David Bundt of Wisconsin four sisters-in-law: Anita Jones of Glidden, Geraldine Scholtens and her husband Herman of Michigan, Joan Mitchell and her husband David of Maine and Sherrine Bundt of Wisconsin and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Wilma enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, winning at board games, and spending time with her family. They are currently members of Grace Baptist Church in Glidden. They were active members of the Scranton Friends Church until its closing. Wilma and Romayne moved into Glidden in 2007. ![]() She was head cook for fifteen years retiring in 2002. Wilma was active in the farming operation and worked as a cook for the Southern Cal School District. The couple made their home north of Glidden where they farmed and raised their family. She was married to Romayne Bundt on Jat the United Methodist Church in Woodbine with Pastor Glasscock officiating. Wilma also worked as a cook for the Raccoon River Bible Camp where she met her future husband. Following high school she worked as a cook for the Woodbine School District until 1969. She grew up on her family’s farm near Dunlap and graduated from Woodbine High School in 1958. ![]() Born on Octoat home in Dunlap, Iowa, she was the daughter of Willis and Margaret (Kelly) Lantz. Burial will be in the Dillavou Cemetery near Scranton. Casket bearers will be Roger Brant, Joel Bundt, Loren Lantz, John Toms, Brian Lantz, Chad Lantz, Ramon Brant, and Phil Brant. Organist for the service will be Shelly Brant and vocalists will be Sherry Kernen and Tim Robbins singing “In The Garden” and “Higher Ground”. on Monday where there will be a prayer service held at 7:00 P.M. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden after 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, Augat the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden with Pastor Rick Hamilton of Grace Baptist Church in Glidden officiating assisted by Pastor Cliff Heckman. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wilma Eileen Bundt, age 73, of Glidden, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, Augat Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. ![]()
